VIDEO: Israeli President Slams CNN

(TheProudRepublic.com) – Leftist propaganda network CNN has finally been taught a well-deserved harsh lesson as Israel’s outraged president schooled it over accusations that his country was committing “war crimes” by responding with force to the recent barbaric massacres of its people by Palestinian terrorists.

On Thursday, Isaac Herzog, who holds Israel’s primarily ceremonial presidency and typically doesn’t feature prominently in world affairs, reacted strongly when CNN correspondent Becky Anderson asked him whether his nation was perpetrating a “war crime” by cutting off power and water supplies to the Gaza Strip.

Last Saturday, October 7, thousands of terrorists from the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas invaded Southern Israel from Gaza and massacred over 1,300 people – including 14 US citizens.

The Israeli military responded with a counter-attack, air strikes on Hamas targets, and cutting off supplies to Gaza, a small enclave of 2.2 million people.

During a press briefing with international media, Herzog detailed some of Hamas’s horrifying acts against Israeli civilians, asserting that Israel’s retaliation to Palestinian terror would embody an “iron fist,” while maintaining adherence to war laws, Breitbart News reports.

Regarding averting hardships for common Gazans, Herzog dismissed the notion that they were ignorant of Hamas’s terrorist activities, saying, “It’s absolutely not true… There is a short memory in the world.”

He recollected that Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, leaving Palestinians to transform it into the “Hong Kong of the Middle East.”

Instead, Herzog lamented, they let Hamas create a “machine of evil” and expressed his disillusionment with the “same old rhetoric.”

“We are operating militarily according to the rules of international law. Period. Unequivocally. But we are at war. We are defending our homes. We are protecting our homes. That’s the truth. And when a nation protects its home, it fights. And we will fight until we break their backbone,” Herzog declared.

“The collective punishment of a civilian population amounts to a war crime under international law. The US has warned Israel to uphold laws at war,” Becky Anderson of CNN said while posing a question.

“Now we’re starting with the rhetoric about war crimes? Really? Truly? … With all due respect, I do believe that this comes totally out of context,” Herzog, a former left-wing politician, reacted.

“With all due respect, if you have a missile in your goddamned kitchen, and you want to shoot it at me, am I allowed to defend myself? Yes!” he declared.
