At the grand opening of James Place Newcastle, Prince William was asked about the well-being of his wife and their three children in light of Middleton’s cancеr diagnosis.
“All doing well, thank you,” William replied. “We’re all doing well.”
In a heartfelt video shared by the Princеss of Wales in March, she disclosed that she initially believed her January abdominal surgery was for a non-cancerous condition.
“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful,” Middleton expressed.
Princess Kate further explained that while the surgery was initially successful, subsequent tests indicated the presence of cancer. Consequently, her medical team advised a course of preventative chemotherapy, which she has already started.
Navigating this challenging period, Middleton and William have strived to manage the situation privately for the sake of their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Moreover, Middleton emphasized the time taken to explain the situation to their children in an age-appropriate manner and reassure them of her well-being.
Despite the difficulties, Middleton shared her determination to focus on her recovery, bolstered by the support of her husband. She also appealed for privacy during her treatment, expressing gratitude and solidarity with all affected by cancer.
While the specifics of her cancer type were not disclosed, Kensington Palace indicated that Princess Kate would resume her official duties upon medical clearance, as reported by Tatler.
