Lara Trump, related by marriage to the previous President Trump, asserted that his recent legal entanglement in Georgia has bolstered his odds for the 2024 presidential race.

During a Fox News conversation on Thursday, she voiced her concerns, stating the legal action against Trump appeared politically motivated.

“In light of recent events, it’s becoming clear that Donald Trump could very well be the 47th president of the United States,” she commented.

While Trump garners considerable support within the GOP, as evidenced by his strong polling, his standing against President Biden remains neck-and-neck.

She anticipates this dynamic will shift soon, emphasizing the critical nature of the upcoming vote for Republican constituents.

“Every challenge thrown his way seems to elevate his polling figures. The nation is realizing the deeper implications of these actions and understands the peril of such precedents,” Lara Trump added.

She went on to suggest that the Democrats seem intent on undermining the Constitution and the bedrock principles of American democracy, mirroring sentiments previously expressed by Trump.

She passionately conveyed, “We’re at a crucial juncture for the fate of our nation.”

On Thursday, in a procedural move, Trump made his appearance at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta concerning an extensive case in Georgia.

The legal proceedings revolve around claims that Trump masterminded a scheme to invalidate Georgia’s 2020 election outcome by generating a counterfeit set of electoral votes. Among the 18 individuals associated with the case are his legal representatives, notably Rudy Giuliani, the former Mayor of New York City, and Mark Meadows, the prior White House Chief of Staff.

The trial’s commencement is slated for Oct. 23 for one of the individuals involved, specifically former lawyer Kenneth Cheseboro. Although the prosecution aims for all 19 cases to begin concurrently, Trump’s legal team has shown resistance.
