‘Huge, Huge Problem’ for Biden

(TheProudRepublic.com) – Underlining the historically proven reality that independent candidates can alter the outcome of presidential elections, former White House spokesperson Jen Psaki emphasized that third-party candidates like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are a “huge, huge problem” for Joe Biden’s re-election hopes.

Psaki highlighted that Kennedy is one of the “biggest threats” for Biden, given his considerable name recognition and the potential impact of his anti-COVID vaccine stance on voters.

“But these third party candidates are a huge, huge, huge, huge problem and there’s a number of them,” Psaki said on “Morning Joe.” “If you look at RFK Jr, it’s the name recognition issue…”

She continued, [A]nd there are states in this country, obviously, I mean, Georgia is one of them I will name, where the Kennedy name is beloved. Where people may just not, still, may just not know a lot about the fact that he is an anti-vaxxer who is a conspiracy theorist. They may not know that yet.”

She also emphasized the urgency of addressing this issue to safeguard Biden’s re-election chances.

Kennedy, previously aligned with the Democrats, transitioned to an independent affiliation in October, which drew notable support in polls.

A Quinnipiac University poll in early November revealed Kennedy secured 22 % in a three-way race against Biden and Trump, with Trump at 39 % and Biden at 36 %

Notably, Kennedy surpassed both Biden and Trump among independent voters.

As reported by Politico, reflecting on past elections, some Democrats attributed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s loss to Trump in 2016 to third-party candidates like Jill Stein.

Current polling data shows Trump leading with 40.2 % support, closely followed by Biden at 38 %, with Kennedy holding 10.2 % support.
