In crime-ridden Oakland, California, a 75-year-old local woman employed a firearm to protect herself during a residential intrusion. The intruders, armed and threatening, were forced to withdraw when they were met by the firearm-wielding homeowner.

Two intruders allegedly forced their way into an Oakland home around 2 a.m. on July 27. The armed thieves began to rummage through the property, searching for precious items, eventually making their way to the bedroom. They commanded the homeowner to surrender her mobile phone.

The 75-year-old woman homeowner swiftly turned the situation around, drawing her .357 Magnum in the face of the intruders. Seizing an opportune moment, the woman reportedly fired a shot towards the intruders, prompting them to return fire around 20 times before making a hasty escape. They managed to make off with some valuables, including jewelry.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the wake of the gunfire.

The case is currently under thorough investigation by the Oakland Police Department.

The homeowner’s daughter expressed her astonishment to KTVU, saying, “What she managed to do is simply extraordinary. It’s awe-inspiring. She’s a real-life superhero. We’re all in admiration and completely taken aback by her strength and quick thinking.”

A neighbor, Calvin Walker, shared with the media, “She had the mental clarity to pull out a weapon from her bedside table. She had it concealed under her blankets, and when she saw a chance, she took a shot.”

Dave Lederer, another resident of the area, applauded, “This lady is a true hero. She managed to stay composed throughout.”

Oakland City Councilmember, Treva Reid, exclaimed, “It’s nothing short of a miracle that she’s unscathed after the sheer number of shots discharged in her residence.”

The daughter issued a warning, “I believe this incident sends a signal to the lawbreakers – people in Oakland are weary of the anarchy. Individuals are rising up. They’re defending themselves.”

Lynn Baranco, a neighbor, agreed, saying, “They’re really, they’re gambling with their lives because everyone around here is armed.”

On a recent Monday, an elderly couple in Oakland babysitting their grandkids fell victim to an armed robbery.

Oakland citizens, growing increasingly intolerant of the rampant criminal activity, lambasted Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price, who is supported by George Soros, in a recent town hall meeting.
