Trump Likes This Poll

(TheProudRepublic.com) – A fresh poll uncovered a significant shift in voters’ attitudes toward former President Donald Trump’s tenure compared to the fall of 2020.

Trump’s approval ratings on various issues, such as the economy, immigration, law enforcement, pandemic response, national unity, and the Supreme Court, have all improved, which sets the stage for a potential 2024 rematch against Joe Biden.

Additionally, there has been a notable nine-point uptick in the number of respondents who feel Trump’s presidency left the country in a better state.

Furthermore, when asked to reflect on their respective presidential tenures, a larger proportion of respondents viewed Trump favorably compared to Biden. Specifically, 42 % believed Trump was mostly beneficial for America, contrasting with only 25 % who held the same view for Biden.

In contrast, Biden received lower marks than Trump on multiple fronts, including the economy, law enforcement, immigration, the Supreme Court, and foreign affairs.

Trump held a substantial lead over Biden, with a 30-point advantage on the economy, an 18-point lead on immigration, and a nine-point lead on maintaining law and order.

Moreover, other polls have echoed these sentiments, with a significant number of voters expressing a preference for the Trump era over Biden’s administration.

In early March, a mere 18 % of registered voters believed Biden’s policies personally benefited them, while a substantial 40 % felt the same about Trump’s policies.

Despite these findings, Trump’s lead over Biden in a potential 2024 matchup has decreased to just one point, down from a previous five-point advantage.

Nonetheless, Trump maintains a narrow edge over Biden in the RealClearPolitics national average and in crucial swing states like Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

The NYT/Siena College poll surveyed 1,059 registered voters from April 7 to April 11, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 %.
