Hunter Biden Sued – DEADBEAT?!

Hunter Biden speaking.
HUNTER BIDEN

In what seems like an all-too-familiar situation, Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, is being sued by a prestigious law firm for unpaid legal fees exceeding $50,000.

Winston & Strawn LLP has filed suit against Hunter for stiffing the law firm that represented him in his gun and tax crimes, while he continues his lavish lifestyle and artwork sales.

The law firm filed its lawsuit in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, demanding payment for legal services it provided to Hunter during his criminal trials.

According to court documents, he signed a contract in December 2022 and received extensive legal representation, but Hunter has refused to pay his outstanding bills despite repeated requests.

Hunter’s former attorney at the firm, Abbe Lowell, charged a staggering $1,510 per hour to defend the former president’s son against felony gun charges in Delaware and other federal investigations.

While some payments were made between March 2023 and October 2024, a substantial amount remains unpaid, demonstrating the same disregard for financial obligations that characterized his tax evasion case.

Winston & Strawn devoted significant resources to Hunter’s defense, resources that the firm now claims have gone uncompensated.

The lawsuit seeks to enforce their contract rights and obtain a lien on Hunter’s assets—the same ones he somehow managed to maintain while claiming financial hardship.

The legal troubles come after Hunter was convicted of three felonies in a Delaware gun case and pleaded guilty to charges in a California tax evasion case.

Rather than face consequences like ordinary Americans would, Hunter received a presidential pardon from his father in December before the end of Biden’s term, wiping his criminal record clean.

Kevin Morris, a wealthy Hollywood lawyer and longtime Hunter supporter, reportedly paid various attorneys on the First Son’s behalf but was financially strained by May 2024.

This suggests that even Hunter’s most devoted benefactors have limits to their generosity regarding his seemingly endless legal troubles.

In addition, an initial hearing for the unpaid legal bills is scheduled for September 19.

Hunter will have to explain why he has not paid for the legal services that helped him escape the long-term consequences of his actions.

The irony of refusing to pay for legal representation, which ultimately led to his pardon, is not lost on conservative observers.

While everyday Americans face crushing legal costs when defending themselves in court, Hunter continues a pattern of elite privilege, receiving high-priced legal defense, presidential pardons, and apparently believing that paying his bills is optional.
