(TheProudRepublic.com) – In shocking revelations, the investigation into allegations surrounding Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s ties to Ukraine has taken a sudden turn. Scott Brady, the former U.S. attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania, expressed concerns to the House lawmakers about interference from higher-ups in the FBI.
Brady stated, “It was incredibly challenging, and we did not make much progress at all.” He felt there was a significant slowdown in his investigation from the FBI’s end, even experiencing a five-month block at one point. This investigation focused on the Bidens’ connection with a Ukrainian energy company and claims regarding a bribe of $10 million.
The FBI’s interest was particularly directed at the allegations that both Joe Biden and Hunter Biden had received a $5 million bribe from the owner of the Ukrainian energy firm, Burisma. Brady felt the evidence was credible and deserved further exploration. However, none of the three U.S. attorney’s offices he informed pursued the matter.
Brady’s investigation concluded just weeks before the 2020 election. He mentioned, “I think there was reluctance on the part of the FBI to really do any tasking related to our assignment … It was very challenging.”
One of the notable pieces of evidence is an unclassified document concealed by the FBI for years. This document described an FBI source’s claim that Burisma executives said they hired Hunter Biden for their company’s board to safeguard them. The source also alleged that Burisma’s owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, claimed he paid $5 million each to both Hunter Biden and then-Vice President Biden in exchange for assistance against a corruption investigation.
Brady said his team believed these allegations had enough credibility to merit further scrutiny. However, there was a notable lack of cooperation and communication with the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware, leading to challenges in his investigation.
Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-IA) pointed out that there might be a deliberate attempt from certain Justice Department and FBI officials to obstruct the investigation into the Biden family.
Biden has consistently denied all corruption allegations, and Democrats have labeled these claims as politically motivated. The Justice Department has yet to respond to inquiries regarding Brady’s testimony.
