(TheProudRepublic.com) – Despite leftist judicial repression against Donald Trump reaching a high point with a guilty verdict in the so-called “hush-money” trial, the former president was given a hero’s welcome during his latest appearance at the UFC, 302, a mixed martial arts event in Newark, New Jersey.

Trump was met with “thunderous applause” from attendees shortly after his conviction, Breitbart News reports.
The 45th president of the United States, accompanied by Dana White, the President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), engaged with the audience by shaking hands as he proceeded to his seat, earning applause from those present.
Trump’s presence at the UFC 302 event, which featured a match between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier at the Prudential Center, occurred shortly after a Manhattan jury convicted him on 34 counts of first-degree falsification of business records. These charges were related to payments made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Sports radio talk show host Zach Gelb of the Zach Gelb Show posted a video on X that captured the enthusiastic response from the audience as Trump made his appearance. UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan remarked on the significant applause Trump received, calling it “staggering.”
An online post described the scene: “Donald Trump arrives at UFC 302 to thunderous applause,” and noted, “Crowd is electric as the man makes his way into NJ’s Lightweight Championship bout. Trump loves the UFC and the UFC fans love Trump.”
During the event, the crowd was seen chanting oppositional slogans against President Joe Biden and expressing support for Trump.
This enthusiastic reception underscores Trump’s appeal in a state that traditionally leans Democratic.
In early May, a Trump rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, reportedly drew over 100,000 attendees.
Recent polling by Emerson College Polling/PIX11/the Hill in March indicated that Trump was trailing President Joe Biden by single digits in New Jersey, with 46% of respondents supporting Biden and 39% supporting Trump.
Trump has articulated a strategic focus on key states in his political endeavors.
In an interview with Breitbart News in January, he stated his intent to “make a heavy play for New York, heavy play for New Jersey, heavy play for Virginia, heavy play for New Mexico, and a heavy play for a state that hasn’t been won in years, Minnesota.”
