VIDEO: Michelle Obama ‘Terrified’

( – In telling comments whose real meaning could range from honest panic over Donald Trump’s repeat rise to a preparation for a Democratic presidential run, former First Lady Michelle Obama has declared that she is “terrified” about the possible results of the 2024 election.

During an episode of the “On Purpose” podcast, posted on YouTube on Monday, Obama was questioned about her worries by host Jay Shetty.

The former Democrat first lady and author expressed her deep anxiety about the future election, emphasizing the significance of leadership.

“What’s going to happen in this next election? I am terrified about what could possibly happen,” she stated, as cited by The Daily Wire.

“Because our leaders matter: who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit. It affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted,” Obama added.

“The fact that people think that government, ‘Eh,’ you know, ‘Does it really even do anything?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, does government do everything for us.’ And we cannot take this democracy for granted.’ And sometimes I worry that we do,” she elaborated.

Against this backdrop, media reports have indicated that her husband, former President Barack Obama, is seriously concerned about former President Donald Trump’s political influence and is actively involved in changing President Joe Biden’s re-election strategy, considering Biden’s current struggles in polls and approval ratings.

While Michelle Obama has been suggested as a potential presidential candidate, especially if Biden decides not to run, she has consistently maintained that she has no ambitions to pursue the presidency.

In her conversation with Shetty, Obama reflected on the burden of being closely connected to a president “who knows everything about everything in the world.”

She spoke about the weight of awareness, covering topics from wars in various regions, the future of artificial intelligence, environmental concerns, education challenges, voter participation, and the prevalence of phone obsession.

When discussing what offends her, Michelle Obama condemned injustice, ego, greed, and racism.

She voiced her disdain for unfairness, bullying, and “childish leadership” characterized by base, vulgar, and cynical behavior.

“I think we are obligated to model, for those of us that have a platform, because it resonates. And I want to resonate good. I want to resonate reason, and compassion, and empathy. That’s more important than my feelings because my feelings — I can take care of those,” Michele Obama asserted.
