VIDEO: Melania Defends Nude Modeling

(TheProudRepublic.com) – In an encouraging video, former First Lady Melania Trump firmly defended her past nude modeling work as she ramps up promotion for her upcoming memoir.

See the video below.

On Instagram, the 54-year-old former model reflected on her earlier career, posing a direct question to her followers: “Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modeling work?”

She went on to challenge the media, saying, “The more pressing question is, why has the media chosen to scrutinize my celebration of the human form in a fashion photo shoot?”

“Are we no longer able to appreciate the beauty of the human body?” she added.

Her voiceover played over famous art images featuring nude figures, including Michelangelo’s “David,” Paul Cézanne’s “Bathers,” and John Collier’s “Lady Godiva.”

“Throughout history, master artists have revered the human shape, evoking profound emotions and admiration. We should honor our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression,” she explained.

Furthermore, this is the fourth video Melania has shared as part of her promotional efforts for her memoir, which will be released on October 1st. Typically reserved, she has been more vocal lately, touching on various subjects in her posts.

In a previous video, she questioned the role of law enforcement in the July 13 assassination attempt on her husband, Donald Trump.

She also posted a sweet throwback photo with her now 18-year-old son, Barron, sharing her thoughts on the rewards of motherhood.

Born in Slovenia in 1970, Melania became a model as an adult. In 1995, she posed nude for a French adult magazine and later for British GQ in 2000 aboard Donald Trump’s private jet.

At that point, the two had been dating for about two years before marrying in 2005.

The photos—none of which showed full-frontal nudity—resurfaced during Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Moreover, photographer Antoine Verglas, who shot the GQ photos, told ABC News that Melania was clear about her boundaries during the session.

“Melania was a very reserved person. She was definitely not someone who you would see in nightclubs or going out a lot,” Verglas recalled.
