Trump Slams Liz

(TheProudRepublic.com) – In the name of justice, Former President Donald Trump recently leveled serious accusations against former Rep. Liz Cheney on Truth Social, asserting that she illegally destroyed evidence from a key committee.

Trump characterized Cheney, a vocal critic and one of the key figures in the January 6 committee investigating the Capitol attack, as suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He also highlighted her significant defeat in Congress, describing it as the largest margin for a sitting Congressman or Congresswoman in U.S. history.

In his post, Trump accused Cheney of sabotaging his defense by destroying crucial evidence, thereby rendering it difficult for his legal team to defend him. Cheney, a Wyoming Republican, has been openly critical of Trump, warning that supporting him could endanger democratic elections. She was among the nine House Republicans who voted for Trump’s impeachment and played a prominent role in the January 6 committee.

In response, Cheney countered Trump’s allegations on social media, dismissing his claims as falsehoods. She pointed out that all the committee’s evidence, including transcripts, documents, hearings, and reports, is publicly accessible online. Cheney’s response suggests Trump and his lawyers have had access to these materials, including grand jury information, for months.

Furthermore, Trump directed criticism at special counsel Jack Smith, challenging his assertion that Trump is not eligible for presidential immunity as he is no longer a sitting president. Trump’s legal team argues that he should be immune from prosecution concerning his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. In his social media post, Trump contended that respected legal minds in the country believe he is entitled to immunity and called for the dismissal of what he labeled as the “ridiculous Deranged Jack Smith case.”

Trump also extended his argument about immunity to President Biden, implying that if he is not entitled to immunity, then Biden should not be either. This statement seems to be part of Trump’s broader strategy to challenge the legal proceedings and investigations he faces, framing them as politically motivated attacks.
