(TheProudRepublic.com) – Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump slammed former vice president Dick Cheney and called him an “irrelevant RINO” for endorsing Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
“Dick Cheney is an irrelevant RINO, along with his daughter, who lost by the largest margin in the History of Congressional Races!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
He also targeted former Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), who was defeated in 2022 by a Trump-backed opponent and also supported Harris.
Last week, Dick Cheney announced his support for Harris, stating, “As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.”
In addition, Cheney’s daughter, who has been a fierce critic of Trump following the Capitol riot on Jan 6, 2021, revealed her decision earlier this week.
“As a conservative, as someone who believes in and cares about the Constitution, I have thought deeply about this, and because of the danger that Donald Trump poses, not only am I not voting for Donald Trump but I will be voting for Kamala Harris,” she said.
However, Trump did not hold back in his criticism of both Cheneys on Truth Social.
“They couldn’t get Scooter Libby, who did so much for them (but was so unfairly treated!), PARDONED. I did it!” Trump said, referring to Dick Cheney’s former adviser, Lewis “Scooter” Libby, who was convicted in 2007 for the leak of a CIA officer’s identity.
Moreover, Trump continued his backlashing, calling Cheney the “King of Endless, Nonsensical Wars, wasting Lives and Trillions of Dollars, just like Comrade Kamala Harris.”
“I am the Peace President, and only I will stop World War III!” he added.
Trump also took a jab at Liz Cheney, claiming she served on a committee of “Political Losers,” referring to her role on the House select committee that investigated the Capitol riot.
“She and her Unselects deleted and destroyed all evidence and information – IT’S GONE. Must of it proved that [former Speaker] Nancy Pelosi was responsible for J6 – DIDN’T PROVIDE SECURITY,” Trump alleged, adding that members of the committee “should be prosecuted for what they did.”
