Trump Lawyer Turns SNITCH

Breaking News

(TheProudRepublic.com) – In what can only be called a betrayal of Donald Trump, former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis has entered into a cooperation agreement with Arizona prosecutors in a case focused on allegations of election subversion linked to the former president’s aides and certain Arizona individuals posing as electors.

Initially facing nine felony charges, including fraud, forgery, and conspiracy, Ellis saw these charges dismissed in return for her willingness to assist the prosecution, The Hill reports.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes remarked on the significance of this development.

“This agreement represents a significant step forward in our case. I am grateful to Ms. Ellis for her cooperation with our investigation and prosecution. Her insights are invaluable and will greatly aid the State in proving its case in court. As I stated when the initial charges were announced, I will not allow American democracy to be undermined — it is far too important. Today’s announcement is a win for the rule of law,” Mayes said, cited by CNBC.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ellis is required to provide complete and truthful testimony “at any time and any place,” including in a criminal trial, and she has committed not to shield any individual or entity by providing false information or omitting the truth.

Among those still facing charges are former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Rudy Giuliani, who are two of the 17 defendants indicted in April, both of whom have entered not guilty pleas.

Trump himself has not been formally charged but is referred to in legal documents as “unindicted co-conspirator 1.”

Ellis’s legal troubles originated from her assertions of widespread electoral fraud and her attempts to influence the Arizona Legislature to reverse the election results in favor of Trump.

She also encouraged then-Vice President Mike Pence to endorse a group of illegitimate electors over the legitimate electoral votes that were cast for President Biden, who secured Arizona by a margin of 10,457 votes.

Additionally, Ellis faced similar charges in Georgia related to the “fraudulent elector” scheme and her efforts to help Trump maintain his position despite losing the 2020 presidential election.

She later pled guilty in October to one felony count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings.

Reflecting on her actions, Ellis stated, after changing her plea, “If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Trump post-election.”

Ellis’s license to practice law was subsequently suspended for three years in Colorado due to her involvement in the efforts to overturn the election results.

Prosecutors in other states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada, have pursued charges linked to the illegitimate elector strategy, although the case in Nevada was dismissed in June. This dismissal has since been appealed by state prosecutors.
