Trump Gets Invitation

( – Donald Trump got an invitation from probably one of the least expected leaders considering Trump’s and the Republican Party’s opinions regarding helping this leader’s country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, expressed concern over the shortage of weapons in Ukraine’s fight against Russia.

He warned that this “artificial deficit” could give Russia a chance to catch its breath. Zelenskyy mentioned Ukrainian forces had to pull back from Avdiivka due to intense attacks from Russian troops, which he described as a “meat wave.”

Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine’s capability to push back Russian forces, stating, “Ukrainians have proven that we can force Russia to retreat. We can get our land back, and [Russian President Vladimir] Putin can lose. And this has already happened more than once on the battlefield.” He highlighted the importance of Western air defense systems, like Patriots, in shooting down Russian missiles, which could pave the way for Ukrainian advances and the return of millions of Ukrainian refugees.

He pointed out the consequences of the weapon shortage, saying, “Dear friends, unfortunately, keeping Ukraine in the artificial deficit of weapons, particularly in deficit of artillery and long-range capabilities, allows Putin to adapt to the current intensity of the war.” Zelenskyy criticized the delay in weapon supplies stressing that Ukraine’s strength lies in its soldiers and people due to the lack of military equipment.

Regarding the possibility of Donald Trump visiting Kyiv Zelenskyy noted that he had extended a public invitation to the former U.S. president adding “It depends on his wishes.” Zelenskyy expressed his readiness to accompany Trump to the front lines if he decides to visit. “If Mr. Trump will come, I am ready even to go with him to the front line.”
