
On Tuesday (June 13), a crowd gathering at former President Donald Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, sang “happy birthday” to the former President ahead of his birthday.
Trump returned to his golf club in Bedminister, N.J., on Tuesday night after pleading not guilty in Miami Federal court to 37 federal charges that allege the former President tampered with classified documents at his private Mar-a-Lago residence and tried to keep them from the government.
In a post-arraignment speech on Tuesday night, Trump wished himself a happy birthday before a crowd of supporters began singing to celebrate Trump’s 77th birthday on Wednesday (June 14).
The former President also noted that his birthday this year coincided with him facing 400 years in prison, telling the crowd, as they sang to him, that he would be making “it the greatest birthday of all.”
Both Trump and President Joe Biden are facing criticism for their age as they’re expected to be the front runners in the 2024 presidential election.
Trump will be 78 years old at the time of the 2024 election, and Biden, already the oldest sitting President, will be 81 years old at the time of the 2024 election.
Trump has been the subject of headlines since an indictment was unsealed on Friday (June 9).
The former President and his aide, Walt Nauta, were indicted in a federal case over his alleged mishandling of classified documents found at his private residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
The former President made his first court appearance in the case on Tuesday, where he pleaded not guilty to all 37 charges.
