(TheProudRepublic.com) – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump asserted that his campaign has shifted focus to personal attacks against Kamala Harris due to the way the Biden-Harris administration has weaponized the justice system against him.
Trump made these comments during a news conference at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club.
Such remarks were part of his second news conference in a week, which aimed to increase his media presence compared to Harris.
On the contrary, Harris has not held an informal news conference or given a media interview since taking over from Joe Biden at the top of the Democrat ticket last month.
“As far as the personal attacks, I’m very angry at her because of what she’s done to the country,” Trump said when asked about GOP allies urging him to focus on policy rather than personal attacks.
“I’m very angry at her that she’s weaponized the justice system against me and other people,” he added.
He continued, “Very angry at her. I think I’m entitled to personal attacks. I don’t have a lot of respect for her. I don’t have a lot of respect for her intelligence, and I think she will be a terrible president. And I think it’s very important that we win…”
Trump also criticized the idea of being cautious with personal attacks, arguing that the stakes are high.
Moreover, the GOP nominee complained about the criticism he and Republicans face from Democrats and the mainstream media, despite his desire to improve the country.
“With all of the abuse we have taken from the fake news media, all of this horrific abuse we take, and all I want to do is make the country great, all I want to do is have strong borders and good education,” he said.
Additionally, he expressed confidence about his chances in the election, as the polls indicate that he is leading the most part of it. He underscored that he would win Harris by a lot more than they would have beaten Biden.
Trump asserted that she does not have that support as people do not know who she is.
