TRAGEDY: Actor Dead at 16 After Accident

(TheProudRepublic.com) – A tragedy struck the Hollywood community when they learned that 16-year-old Hudson Meek died after suffering critical injuries from a tragic fall from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

Hudson Joseph Meek, known for his roles in “Baby Driver” and TV shows like “MacGyver,” suffered severe blunt force trauma days before his subsequent death when he fell from a moving vehicle on Canyon Road.

The injuries proved fatal after he passed away at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital days before Christmas, leaving a gaping void in his family and the film community.

The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

His family announced his death through an Instagram post, highlighting Meek’s significant impact in his short life.

Tennessee-based J Pervis Talent Agency praised him as “an extraordinary young talent, whose dedication, passion, and promise shone brightly within our industry.”

Hudson’s involvement spanned from acting roles to activities within his high school community. As an organ donor, his spirit of giving continues, offering solace to his family even in death.

His family posted on Instagram, “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight.”

“His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met,” the post continued.

Furthermore, Meek’s career was illustrious, featuring a voice role in “Badanamu Stories” and contributions to various TV shows, including NBC’s “Found” and the CW’s “Legacies.” He also ventured to the Deauville Film Festival in France to promote “The School Duel.”

A celebration of life is set for December 28 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. Hudson’s family requests donations to the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship, encouraging support towards education and betterment.

Hudson embodied more than talent. He held an advanced open-water scuba diving certification, traversed all 50 U.S. states, and was an active participant in his high school’s football, choir, and student government activities.
