(TheProudRepublic.com) – In an unprecedented move bound to infuriate true Republicans, hundreds of traitorous former aides to one former president and two US senators have come together to endorse Democrat candidate Kamala Harris for the White House.
Their endorsement emphasizes the negative implications they believe another term under former President Donald Trump’s administration would bring to “real, everyday” Americans, Breitbart News reports.
The document revealing their support, obtained by USA Today, showcases endorsements from over 200 ex-staffers of prominent Republicans like former President George W. Bush, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT), and former Senator John McCain (R-AZ).
This notable group has now allied with ex-aides from former President George H.W. Bush’s tenure, coalescing to back Harris and her vice-presidential running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D).
“We reunite today, joined by new George H.W. Bush alumni, to reinforce our 2020 statements and, for the first time, jointly declare that we’re voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz this November,” their collective letter states.
This endorsement follows a similar pattern observed in the 2020 presidential election when numerous aides from the Bush and McCain administrations threw their support behind President Joe Biden.
Notable signatories of this letter include David Bentley, former legislative staff assistant to McCain; Tomas Bilbao, ex-deputy director of operations at the Department of Housing and Urban Development under George W. Bush; and Vicki Blanton, who was the director of scheduling for Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.
“Of course, we have plenty of honest, ideological disagreements with Vice President Harris and Gov. Walz. That’s to be expected. The alternative, however, is simply untenable,” the former GOP staffers argue.
“At home, another four years of Donald Trump’s chaotic leadership, this time focused on advancing the dangerous goals of Project 2025, will hurt real, everyday people and weaken our sacred institutions. Abroad, democratic movements will be irreparably jeopardized as Trump and his acolyte JD Vance kowtow to dictators like Vladimir Putin while turning their backs on our allies,” they elaborate.
Adding to these endorsements, former Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger also voiced his support for Harris during the Democrat National Convention.
He remarked on the ideological shift within his own party, asserting that the Republican Party was “no longer conservative.”
