Here’s what they had to say…
Kyle Rittenhouse was recently acquitted of all five charges placed against him following the shooting which left two dead and one injured in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Following Rittenhouse’s acquittal, his lawyers have finally spoken out and some were surprised by what they had to say.
According to the Washington Examiner, Rittenhouse’s lawyers claimed that Kyle is ready to “get on with his life.” One of Rittenhouse’s attorneys Mark Richards claimed that he was thrilled by the prospect of his freedom.
“He wants to get on with his life,” Richards stated. “He has a huge sense of relief for what the jury did to him today. He wishes none of this would have ever happened.”
Rittenhouse was accused of several charges including intentional homicide and recklessly endangering the safety of others. Rittenhouse was facing life in jail but was found innocent.
The lead prosecutor against Rittenhouse Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger said, “The jury has represented our community in this trial and has spoken. We are grateful to the members of the jury for their diligent and thoughtful deliberations. The Kenosha community has endured much over the past 15 months, and yet, we remain resilient and strong. We ask that members of our community continue to express their opinions and feelings about this verdict in a civil and peaceful manner.”
At least, at the conclusion of this monumental case and wildly popular storyline, both sets of attorneys were courteous and respectful of the other side and did their part to help maintain peace moving forward.
