(TheProudRepublic.com) – The disgusting, outrageous pro-terrorist demonstrations in the United States have claimed their first life as an elderly Jewish man confronting Islamist terror supporters was killed in Los Angeles after he was attacked.
The Jewish counter-protester, later identified as Paul Kessler, aged 69, lost his life in a brutal confrontation during a pro-Israel rally in LA last weekend, as confirmed by the authorities on Monday, National Review reports.
The confrontation, now under scrutiny as a homicide, took place on Sunday afternoon amidst two clashing demonstrations — one in support of Israel and the other for Palestine — in the Los Angeles district of Thousand Oaks.
A month ago, the Palestinian Islamist terrorist group Hamas massacred over 1,400 people in Israel, and the Israelis fought back; the United States and other nations have seen mass rallies in support of the terrorists.
“[Kessler] became embroiled in a physical dispute with counter-demonstrators,” informed the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
“During the fracas, Kessler was knocked backward, resulting in his head hitting the pavement. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office ascertained that the cause of death was a severe head injury due to blunt force, and the death was ruled a homicide,” the police stated further.
An individual was apprehended concerning the case as officials inspected his residence and was later released.
Ventura County Sheriff Jim Fryhoff told the press on Tuesday that the person implicated in Kessler’s demise was compliant with law enforcement.
The name of the individual, a 50-year-old local resident, according to The New York Post, has not been made public amid the ongoing investigation, but the police didn’t rule out investigating the attack as a hate crime.
Social media footage of the incident shows a man with a head injury lying on the ground, while two people come his aid. One of them is a woman with a “Free Palestine” jacket.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles responded with a statement that Kessler had been attacked with a megaphone.
“We are devastated to learn of the tragic death of an elderly Jewish man who was struck in the head by a megaphone wielded by a pro-Palestinian protestor in Westlake Village. Our hearts are with the family of the victim,” the federation expressed.
It said the attack was the fourth significant anti-Semitic offense in Los Angeles this year.
