Pro-Lifer Prosecuted by Biden’s DOJ: ‘I’m With God’

(TheProudRepublic.com) – Following Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) recent prosecution and sentence of 75-year-old pro-lifer Paulette Harlow for exercising her right to free speech, she expressed feeling safe as she is “with God.”

Harlow was sentenced to 24 months in prison for trying to dissuade women from getting abortions. Despite her health conditions, she felt thankful.

“I’ll be OK,” she said. “I’m with God. I have a wonderful husband, wonderful friends and family, and supporters all over the place. Pray for those mothers that do not have that kind of support and go up to the abortion clinics.”

The FACE Act prohibits “violent, threatening, damaging, and obstructive conduct intended to injure, intimidate, or interfere with the right to seek, obtain, or provide reproductive health services.”

Though it theoretically protects houses of worship and pregnancy resource centers, as well as abortion clinics, the Biden administration’s DOJ has largely used FACE to prosecute pro-life activists like Harlow.

The DOJ also accused Harlow and others of blockading the clinic to prevent access to reproductive health services. However, video evidence of the protest showed no violence.

Harlow’s action was part of a prayerful protest at the Washington Surgi-Clinic in October 2020. She prayed, sang, and urged women not to be afraid.

Therefore, the jury found Harlow guilty of a civil rights conspiracy under the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE). Her lawyer has filed an appeal of the verdict.

At the end of the trial, Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia reportedly said to Harlow that she should “make an effort to remain alive” as that is a “tenet of faith.”

Despite her health concerns, Harlow remains resolute. She believes in God’s protection and takes comfort in her faith. She requested prayers for unborn babies and vulnerable mothers.

Harlow views her anti-abortion stance as a matter of humanity, not just religion. She questions why any country would allow the killing of its own citizens.
