(TheProudRepublic.com) – The National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) targeted Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in a massive ad campaign due to his abysmal F-rating on Second Amendment issues.
Starting October 1, a hard-hitting 30-second TV spot will air statewide on cable and satellite networks until Election Day, which exposes his failure to protect gun owners’ rights.
The ad features three women appealing to suburban female voters, urging them to prioritize public safety at the ballot box.
It also pulls no punches in criticizing Brown’s soft-on-crime stance and his refusal to support law enforcement and self-defense rights.
NRA-PVF Chair Randy Kozuch did not mince words when calling out Brown’s failures, “Soft-on-crime politicians like Sherrod Brown have made everyday life more dangerous for American communities but failed to protect gun owners and their right to defend themselves.”
Meanwhile, the campaign’s message is crystal clear: “Vote like your life depends on it because it might,” which underscores the critical importance of preserving Second Amendment rights in an increasingly dangerous world.
The ad reminds viewers that “When seconds count, the police are minutes away,” highlighting the necessity of self-defense capabilities for law-abiding citizens.
In stark contrast to Brown’s anti-gun record, the NRA enthusiastically supports his conservative challenger, Bernie Moreno.
With an A rating from the NRA, Moreno stands as a strong advocate for the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
However, this campaign is not just about TV ads. The NRA is employing a comprehensive strategy that includes digital ads, text messaging, direct mail, and door-to-door canvassing to reach Ohio voters.
According to the Voteview database, the Democrat senator has supported the Biden administration’s policies nearly 100% of the time.
While the Ohio Senate race is shaping up to be a critical battleground that could determine control of the Senate and polls showing a tight race, the NRA’s campaign could be the deciding factor.
