NOW: ‘2nd American Militia’ Founders Convicted

The Proud Republic Happening Now

(TheProudRepublic.com) – Exposing the dangerous reality of extremist groups threatening the nation’s security, two ‘2nd American Militia’ founders were convicted to life sentences for plotting to murder federal agents and immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Warsaw, Missouri, Jonathan S. O’Dell and Clarksville, Tennessee, Bryan C. Perry, were found guilty of multiple charges, including conspiracy to assault and injure federal officers, attempted murder of FBI agents and using firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence.

The convicted men, who attempted to form the “2nd American Militia,” had grand plans to travel to the southern border and take matters into their own hands.

Evidence presented during the trial revealed the extent of their preparations while the FBI discovered an arsenal at O’Dell’s residence.

This arsenal included six guns, 23 magazines, approximately 1,800 rounds of ammunition, body armor, gas masks, ballistic helmets, zip ties, and explosive materials.

At the same time, Perry posted several TikTok videos in September and October 2022 about his plans, including one that said he was “ready to go to war against this government.”

“We’re out to shoot to kill” and that “our group is gonna go protect this country,” he posted in another video.

Moreover, the plot unraveled dramatically in October of the same year when Perry fired shots at an FBI vehicle carrying seven agents during a search warrant execution at O’Dell’s home.

While the actions of O’Dell and Perry are inexcusable, they reflect a growing frustration among many Americans with the ongoing crisis at the southern border.

The federal government’s failure to adequately address illegal immigration and secure the borders has led some to consider taking drastic measures.

As these militia members now face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison without parole, with the potential for life sentences, it is clear that the American justice system takes threats against law enforcement and border security seriously.

However, this case also serves as a call to action for elected officials to address the root causes of such extremism by securing the borders and supporting brave men and women in law enforcement.
