This is not good for Hillary.
Following the scathing testimony by Michael Sussman that revealed Hilary Clinton approved the dissemination of false information that alleged former President Donald Trump’s Trump Organization was having covert communication with a Russian bank.
Discussing the revelations with Fox News, Trump said the Russian investigation is “one of the greatest political scandals in history,” adding that he would “never” get his “reputation fully back.”
Following the year-long probe by Special Counsel John Durham, the first criminal trial commenced with former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook testifying on Friday (May 20), saying that Clinton “agreed” to share the discredited data with the media.
A day earlier, former FBI General Counsel James Baker testified that the bureau had investigated the information and found that there was “nothing there.”
Responding to the bombshell revelations, Trump lamented the three years it took to fight Clinton and “those crooked people off.”
He added that he wouldn’t get his reputation back, querying, “Where do I get my reputation back?”
He also called out Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, saying that “if we had real leadership, instead of people like Mitch McConnell, they would do something about it.”
The former President went on to say that the law enforcement and intelligence community resources devoted to investigating the false claims could have distracted officials from what “could have been a real danger with Russia.”
