Government Takes MAJOR Step – LGBTQ+ Ban

Traffic sign reads BAN against blue sky.

Taking a major step toward traditional values that many Americans would approve of, Hungary’s government recently passed a constitutional amendment that bans public events by LGBTQ+ communities.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s ruling coalition successfully passed a constitutional amendment prioritizing children’s moral development over public displays that could harm traditional values.

The measure passed with overwhelming support—140 votes in favor and only 21 against—showing strong support for Prime Minister Orbán’s Fidesz-KDNP coalition and its commitment to protecting Hungary’s children and cultural identity.

Unlike many Western European nations that have embraced progressive gender ideology, Hungary’s amendment clearly recognizes only two biological sexes – male and female.

It also prioritizes children’s rights to proper moral, physical, and spiritual development over activists’ demands.

The amendment is Hungary’s 15th constitutional change since Orbán’s party authored its constitution in 2011, demonstrating its commitment to strengthening national sovereignty against foreign interference.

While leftist organizations claim this targets the LGBTQ+ community unfairly, supporters see it as properly ensuring that public spaces remain appropriate for families and children.

This particularly prevents events like Budapest’s Pride parade from exposing young people to adult themes.

“This whole endeavor which we see launched by the government, it has nothing to do with children’s rights,” said Dánel Döbrentey, a lawyer with the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union, calling it “pure propaganda.”

Despite claims by critics like Döbrentey, Hungary’s government is simply doing what governments should: protecting their citizens, especially children, from harmful influences.

The amendment also prevented same-sex adoption, reinforcing the natural family structure that had been the foundation of civilization for millennia.

These protections for children come at a time when many Western nations are moving in the opposite direction, allowing unlimited expression regardless of consequences to impressionable youth.

Prime Minister Orbán has consistently opposed foreign meddling in Hungary’s domestic affairs.

During recent debates, he promised to “eliminate the entire shadow army” of foreign-funded organizations pushing globalist agendas within Hungarian borders.

Furthermore, Hungary’s approach to national security is equally strong. The amendment permits suspending citizenship for dual citizens from non-European Economic Area countries if they threaten public order or security.

This measure ensures that Hungary can effectively protect its borders and national character while keeping citizens safe.

As predictable protests erupted following the vote, with opposition politicians attempting to block proceedings, Hungary demonstrated that the rule of law would be maintained.

Ultimately, the contrast between Hungary’s focus on family values and the West’s embrace of progressive gender ideology shows what is possible when a nation prioritizes children and traditional families over radical social experimentation.
