FBI’s HISTORIC SEIZURE – Largest Ever!

(TheProudRepublic.com) – The FBI has seized the largest cache of 150 homemade explosives in its history during a Virginia raid.

Brad Kenneth Spafford, arrested in mid-December, now faces charges related to an unregistered short-barrel rifle despite having no prior criminal record.

The FBI’s raid on Spafford’s 20-acre farm in Isle of Wight County came after a tip-off about stockpiling weapons and homemade ammunition.

While the discovery of explosive devices is concerning, it is crucial to examine the context and motivations behind this unprecedented seizure.

Spafford’s attorney argued that there is no evidence of his client threatening anyone, emphasizing that the government’s assessment of danger is purely speculative.

This raised red flags about potential infringement on constitutional rights and the criminalization of law-abiding citizens.

“There is not a shred of evidence in the record that Mr. Spafford ever threatened anyone and the contention that someone might be in danger because of their political views and comments is nonsensical,” defense lawyers stated.

Moreover, reports claimed Spafford used photos of Joe Biden for target practice and expressed controversial opinions about Kamala Harris.

Despite the seizure being described as “preliminarily assessed as the largest seizure by a number of finished explosive devices in FBI history,” it is worth noting that Spafford has only been charged with possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle.

The case against Spafford appears to be built on fear-mongering and speculation rather than concrete evidence of any imminent threat.

His lawyer criticized the government’s approach as “rank speculation and fear-mongering,” highlighting the dangerous precedent this sets for law-abiding citizens who may have unpopular political views.

This case, now in U.S. District Court in Norfolk and Spafford, was released under electronic monitoring after posting a $25,000 bond despite the government’s push for pre-trial detention.
