DNC Delegate ROBBED by THUGS!

(TheProudRepublic.com) – In a new case of the left’s pro-crime policies coming back to bite it, a Texas Democrat delegate, present in Chicago for the Democrat National Convention, was victimized by an armed robbery while walking early Wednesday morning with a companion.

The identity of the delegate has not been disclosed; CWBChicago reported that he remains unnamed to protect his privacy as a crime victim.

The Chicago Police Department is still investigating, as no suspects have been apprehended, according to a statement cited by National Review.

In the early hours, near the Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel, the delegate and his friend were confronted by an armed assailant wearing a ski mask who arrived in a black Range Rover.

The assailant first robbed another man of his wallet and hotel room key before targeting the delegate and his associate. Fortunately, no physical injuries were sustained in either robbery.

Authorities described the suspects as two African-American males dressed entirely in black and wearing ski masks.

They remain at large and are believed to be responsible for several other robberies that occurred early in the week.

The Chicago police issued a community alert on Thursday, linking these individuals to additional robberies, including an incident involving the delegate and two others.

The suspects are also tied to two further robberies that took place early Tuesday and Monday.

The influx of attendees and protesters for the DNC significantly increased activity in Chicago.

On Tuesday night, over fifty individuals, primarily anti-Israel demonstrators, were detained following altercations with police outside the Israeli Consulate. Among those arrested were three journalists who did not comply with dispersal orders.

However, Wednesday night saw a peaceful demonstration involving more than 2,000 anti-Israel protesters, with no arrests or injuries reported.

Monday witnessed the largest demonstration, attracting around 3,500 protesters, resulting in only 13 arrests related to breaching security barriers.

No protesters managed to penetrate the inner security perimeters of the United Center, the venue hosting the four-day event.

Chicago’s crime statistics reveal more than 1,200 shootings by July 7 this year, marking a 12% increase from the previous year.

Gun-related violence remains the predominant cause of homicides, with 364 fatalities recorded this year; 323 were gun-related.

However, the total homicide count for 2024 shows a decrease of 34 from the previous year, following significant reductions in homicides post the Covid-19 pandemic peaks in 2020 and 2021.
