This is disgusting.

In the aftermath of Monday’s deadly mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois, that left seven dead and many more injured, California Democrat Eric Swalwell compared Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boerbert (Colorado) to the mass shooting suspect.

Swalwell captioned a tweet displaying a side-by-side image of Boebert holding an AR15 and the suspected shooter with the phrase “It’s time to draw straight lines.”

The tweet Swalwell published a day after the fourth of July mass shooting could appear as though the California Democrat is suggesting the shooter took inspiration from Boebert but is more apparently blaming Boebert’s fierce advocacy for the Second Amendment as the reason the suspect could carry out a mass shooting.

Unfazed by Swalwell’s comments, Boebert said — according to reporting by Fox News Digital — that she understands Swalwell isn’t “a fan of our Constitutional rights and is desperate to distract from his repeated political failures, but the only straight line that needs to be drawn is from Eric Swalwell to Fang Fang to the Chinese Communist Party.”

Boebert’s comments reference Swalwell’s link to the Chinese Communist Party spy Fang Fang, who went by Christine Fang, was a prominent fundraiser for the California Democrats.
Fang eventually was able to use her position to influence a Congressional appointment.

Boebert also promised that Swalwell’s connection to the Chinese spy is made when Republicans take back the House.

She went on to say that she would also ensure “Law-abiding gun owners won’t be smeared and disarmed every time a California failed presidential candidate rolls out of bed with a Chinese spy and tries to blame us for the conduct of others.”
