BREAKING: Dems Sue Trump

BREAKING NEWS: Democrats are witch-hunting President Donald Trump again as they sued him to block his executive order that strengthens election integrity by requiring proof of citizenship to vote and rejecting late mail-in ballots.

Led by Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, the Democrat National Committee (DNC) filed the lawsuit, claiming the measures will “disenfranchise” voters, despite the order’s clear intent to ensure only eligible citizens participate in American elections.

The lawsuit challenges President Trump’s March executive order, which institutes three key election integrity measures:

Requiring proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration, preventing the counting of mail-in ballots received after Election Day, and granting the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to voter rolls to verify eligibility.

Democrats argued these common-sense measures somehow exceed presidential authority.

Democrat groups, including the DNC, Democrat Governors Association, and Democrat campaign committees, claimed the executive order undermines state control of elections.

However, the White House remains firm that ensuring only American citizens vote in American elections is fundamental to protecting democracy.

DOJ officials stand firmly behind President Trump’s actions, as a spokesperson told reporters when asked about the lawsuit:

“The Department of Justice has vigorously defended President Trump’s executive actions, including the order to Preserve and Protect the Integrity of American Elections, and will continue to do so.”

Meanwhile, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields did not mince words about the Democrats’ opposition:

“The Democrats continue to show their disdain for the Constitution and it continues to show in their insane objections to the President’s commonsense executive actions to require proof of U.S. citizenship in an effort to protect the integrity of American elections.”

The Democrats’ lawsuit is more about politics than legal concerns. By fighting against citizenship verification and opposing deadlines for mail-in ballots, Democrats are arguing against the safeguards that ensure election integrity.

Their resistance raises questions about why they oppose measures that simply confirm voters are who they say they are and that ballots arrive on time.

Notably, Democrat-aligned attorney Marc Elias, who has been involved in numerous election lawsuits across the country, claimed:

“The Executive Order seeks to impose radical changes on how Americans register to vote, cast a ballot, and participate in our democracy—all of which threaten to disenfranchise lawful voters and none of which is legal.”

The executive order comes after years of concerns about potential non-citizen voting and election irregularities.

The order addresses longstanding vulnerabilities in our election system that have eroded public confidence by requiring proof of citizenship, ensuring timely ballot submission, and enabling verification of voter rolls.

Several advocacy groups, including the League of United Latin American Citizens, have also filed separate lawsuits alongside the Democrats.

These challenges reveal the broader resistance to election security measures from left-leaning organizations that have historically opposed voter ID laws and other integrity measures.

Moreover, constitutional experts noted that President Trump’s executive order simply implements mechanisms to enforce existing laws that already prohibit non-citizen voting in federal elections.

Ultimately, the lawsuit represents yet another attempt by Democrats to block the President’s America First agenda and his commitment to secure elections for all legal American voters.
