On Friday President Joe Biden made a joke about possibly getting impeached while also pointing out that because of his “Bidenomics” and support for American manufacturing, the inflation rate has been dropping.

During a speech at Auburn Manufacturing Inc., in Maine, Trump pointed out that while there is a lot more work to be done, there are many Republicans who have criticized him despite the inflation rate decreasing. He then proceeded to joke that perhaps they were going to impeach him because the inflation rate was decreasing.

Since June 2022 there has been a decrease in inflation from 9.1 percent to 3 percent this month. When Biden entered the White House the inflation rate had been at 1.4 percent. Earlier this week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R) claimed that his conference was going to be considering whether they should launch an impeachment inquiry against President Biden following all of the revelations about the possible financial misconduct that his family is involved in.

For an impeachment inquiry to proceed, then articles of impeachment would need to be brought by the House. This can be a lengthy process, especially due to the ongoing presidential campaign season.

Still, this did not stop McCarthy from claiming that they were going to take a possible inquiry to the end.

On Friday during his speech, Biden also noted that while they could not yet declare full economic victory and there were still other things to be done, his “Bidenomics” policies were essentially helping bring back the American dream.
