Biden Committed Treason?

On Sunday (January 22), Rep. James Comer (R-KY.) — chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee — was asked if President Joe Biden’s alleged mishandling of classified documents amounted to treason.

The question was asked by Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” host, Maria Bartiromo, queried whether Biden committed treason by taking classified documents while he was Vice President.

“Is this treason?” she queried about the classified documents discovered in multiple locations since November 2022.

Biden’s attorneys first discovered a batch of classified documents from his time as Vice President in a former office, then in two subsequent searches of a home in Wilmington, Del., the President’s attorneys found two more batches of classified documents.

Then, after a thirteen-hour search by the FBI on Friday (January 20), the FBI discovered more documents with classification markings in the Wilmington home.

Comer wasn’t eager to describe Biden’s actions as “treason” but instead chose to describe them as “very concerning” and urged the Biden administration to cooperate with the House Investigation.

Comer has floated the idea that — kept in Biden’s garage — the documents could have been vulnerable to adversaries in addition to the President’s son, Hunter Biden, who is currently being investigated by Comer’s committee for his ties to adversaries.

However, a former federal prosecutor, Gene Rossi, dismissed Bartiromo’s question as the “product of a rabid partisan mind.”

Bartiromo’s question — which was clipped and shared on Twitter — also raises eyebrows on social media.

Many suggested the question was loaded and absurd.
