America’s Mayor Finally Gets Good News

America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani

(TheProudRepublic.com) – America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani finally received good news: The court has settled a $148 million defamation judgment with two Fulton County election workers.

The settlement, which allows Giuliani to keep his homes and World Series rings, comes after years of legal battles stemming from his role in challenging the 2020 election results.

Giuliani has “fully satisfied” the $148-million defamation judgment related to claims about Georgia election workers Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman.

The lawsuit, filed by Moss and Freeman, alleged that Giuliani’s statements led to death threats against them.

Despite the court’s decision, Giuliani maintains his stance, stating that it “does not involve an admission of liability or wrongdoing.”

The settlement, reached in January, allows Giuliani to retain ownership of his properties and prized World Series rings.

This resolution cancels a trial regarding the ownership of his Florida condominium and rings, effectively ending all pending litigation related to the case.

While specific terms of the settlement remain undisclosed, it includes a mutual agreement for both parties to refrain from speaking ill of each other in the future.

“The past four years have been a living nightmare. We have fought to clear our names, restore our reputations, and prove that we did nothing wrong. Today is a major milestone in our journey.” Freeman and Moss stated.

Moreover, Giuliani’s legal troubles began when a jury found him liable in 2023 for allegedly falsely accusing Freeman and Moss of tampering with the 2020 presidential vote in Georgia.

The former mayor was subsequently held in contempt twice during the settlement process for failing to relinquish possessions and continuing his statements about the case.

The financial toll on Giuliani has been significant. He filed for bankruptcy following the defamation verdict, which temporarily paused collection efforts.

His remaining assets are now limited, with some tied up in ongoing legal proceedings.

Despite these challenges, Giuliani began surrendering assets after a federal jury determined the damages and penalties in December 2024.

The legal actions against him have had far-reaching consequences. He was disbarred in New York and Washington due to his efforts to aid President Trump’s 2020 election challenge.

Ultimately, Giuliani’s supporters emphasize his long-standing public service record. Giuliani’s representative, Ted Goodman, highlighted the former mayor’s contributions, including his leadership after 9/11, which earned him the title of “America’s Mayor.”

This serves as a reminder of Giuliani’s significant role in American politics and his unwavering commitment to the country, even in the face of adversity.
