(TheProudRepublic.com) – Due to the military’s focus on intensive “diversity, equity and inclusion” policies under the Biden-Harris administration, an Army recruiting brigade only managed to attract a single new service member after spending $1 million.
Citing fears of retaliation from the U.S. government, Colonel Nicholas Braun chose to use a pseudonym to talk after retiring from over two decades in the U.S. Army.
“Do you know how many contracts we got signed?” Braun questioned. “One. After four months, we spent a million dollars to get one kid in the Army.”
The next quarter, six recruits signed up after another $800,000 was allocated, totaling nearly $1.8 million spent to recruit just seven individuals.
Despite these expenditures, the issue persisted as the Army plans to reduce its personnel from 494,000 to 470,000 by 2029.
In February 2024, Braun noted a new phase of restructuring to align the actual number of personnel with authorized figures to show at least a 90% staffing level.
This restructuring involved removing reconnaissance units from certain brigades, significantly reducing the Army’s capability in this area.
“When these brigades need reconnaissance, they’re going to pull from formation that don’t have nearly enough training to do the mission,” Braun explained.
Braun criticized the political motives affecting these strategic decisions, blaming diversity initiatives.
He lamented the increasing politicization within the Army’s upper echelons, revealing that higher-ranking officers often protect their positions at the expense of others.
“The level of politics in the Army’s general officer corps has elevated to a really unhealthy level,” he stated.
“Most three-star and four-star generals circle the wagons and throw whoever they need to under the bus to save their own skin,” he added.
Braun also commented on the exclusion of white males within the Army, citing a Department of Defense initiative that targeted “white domestic terrorists.”
He argues that this focus comes at a time when recruitment levels are low. This is especially problematic considering that “70 percent of recruits being white kids from the south and southeast.”
“Why would you want to join an organization that’s preaching you’re an extremist or terrorist because you’re white and conservative?” Braun questioned.
